Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Cheese just wants to watch the world go by below the cloud Cheese sits on, but is somehow constantly disturbed by outside forces. Other hatchlings ridicule Cheese for never being able to mature, but they pay them no mind.

Sometimes, the adult dragons will try to take care of Cheese, and they have to remind the adults that they are actually over 70 years old, just stuck in an unwanted stage of life.

Cheese never refers to other dragons by their gender, as Cheese is depressed that they do not have a gender for theirself.
