Sunsong Amphipteres are an unusual breed. Due to light interference caused by their magical nature, they don’t seem to be affected by any ambient light source. However, when struck by direct sunlight, they shine a brilliant gold. They are playful and ever in flight; their ethereal and mysterious appearance and the fact that they are usually only seen at a distance have led many to believe they are a symbol of hope and good fortune.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Affectionate and cheerful, this energetic female can often be seen swooping around both other dragons and humans alike, causing playful chaos in all manner of ways. From pies snatched off windowsills to flags turned into elaborate scarves for herself, her mischief usually amuses more than it angers, and many regard her warmly as a naive and childish spirit of the forest.

Those who have seen death, however, know slightly different.

Should any life end within her territory, she is there, the usually jovial dragon abruptly solemn. She will not weep, but she will place a comforting wing around the mourners, and she will sing.

The song she creates is unique for every individual, but it is always at once both haunting and beautiful, one last hymn for the dead. Only when her music is complete will she vanish, only to be seen again the next day, as silly as always, apparently having forgotten all about it. But those who saw her remember, and they thank her for her swan song in their hearts.
