Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

When named, Dec preferred not a name but some sort of identifiable phrase which was a clear representation of Christmas spirit. When he was still a hatchling, he mysteriously disappeared in the early spring, worrying many other dragons in his herd--only to be relieved months later, when it turned out he had simply wandered after the other Christmas dragons who had migrated away, and then returned with them as winter came again. While other Christmas dragons bring Christmas cheer quietly, Dec is more of a party-type who gets rather enthusiastic with his holiday decorations and frequently invites other dragons to join in on decking the cave with boughs of holly. He has an unusual remarkable tendency to solve everyone's problems and spread cheer wherever he goes. Though he is bored by the quiet mysterious nature of his kind, his instincts urge him to migrate away with the winter every year, but his return in the winter can always be looked forward to.
