Balloon Dragons are so named because they are filled with a gas that makes them almost lighter than air, similar to balloons. However, they are not prone to bursting, as they are covered in tough skin and can deflate themselves if necessary. In addition, they generally are slow moving. They use their gas bladders to float to the tops of trees, where food is more abundant. They can shift their weight from their backs to their fronts, allowing them to reach leaves and fruit.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Once upon a time, there was a small circus, which journeyed from one village to the next. It was quite a famous one, for they had an attraction no other to date showed: a balloon dragon. They had found it as an egg and hatched it, knowing the wealth and fame it would bring them. However, the little hatchling hadn't been happy at all. And so it came that one sunny day, when one of the crewman did not concentrate on his task, Balooka loosened her rope and floated into the cloudless sky.

After a long journey of hardships  and challenges, the young hatchling took a break under a group of trees close to the cave she know calls home. She was taken in by the dragons living their and the young mistress took great care of her. It took Balooka some time to trust into humans again after her experiences, but she soon got close to the girl.

Nowadays, she is sometimes seen performing a few tricks she learned during her childhood for the entertainment of the cave's hachtlings.
