Shimmer-scale Dragons are a very beautiful breed with small—but highly reflective—scales that shimmer and shine as the dragon moves through water. They don’t have fins or webbed feet, but their long, eel-like bodies allow them to swim quite fast. They were once rumored to carry large pearls in their claws—causing many to seek them out in search of this fabulous treasure. In reality, the “pearl” is of greater value to the dragon, for the fabled treasure is actually an egg carried by a migrating female.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Tzala is a sweet and shy dragoness who enjoys the simpler aspects of life, like calm breezy days and lazy flights through the mountains. She cares deeply for all dragons, and can sometimes be found in the healing den running errands for the Whites. Her personality is nearly opposite that of her mate, Oralie, who sees her beautiful appearance as a prize that he has claimed and is always trying to keep her in his sight. She detests his presence, though she will not admit it, and her closest friend Samur is constantly trying to convince her to reject him and find someone she truly loves. But she stays with the Golden Wyvern by choice, partly because she fears his anger, and mostly because she feels obligated to continue her family's lineage. When she wants to be alone she'll normally bury herself in the mud alongside riverbeds, hiding her shimmering scales until she knows he has gone to look for her elsewhere.
