Sunset Dragons are closely related to sunrise dragons. However, their behaviors differ greatly. Sunset Dragons generally live alone or in small packs. They are more active in the evening, hunting and performing all of their daily tasks as the sun sets.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Divakaro is mostly average as far as sunset dragons go, average in speed, intelligence, and strength. He is not, however, average in social behavior. Rather than preferring to live alone with his mate, Adhiambi, Divakaro has chosen to live among a Khalasaar (tribe) ruled by the white dragon Khal Zeroun. Though he and his mate keep mostly to themselves in the Khalasaar, they are not hostile toward the other dragons, and are in fact quite fond of their non-blood brothers. Divakaro has a tendency to become active well before sunset, and well after, which causes him to be sluggish and ill-tempered sometimes due to the lack of adequate sleep.
