Valentine eggs are only seen once a year. Adults’ mating seasons are very short, usually spanning a few weeks in the mid-to-late winter. These dragons were once reputed to be omens of good luck in love.

Gift of Roses and her sister, Romance are Valentine's dragons and are obsessed by something called "romance." The other dragons watch them whispering and discussing this "romance" stuff all year, and are bemused by them. When February comes, and Gift of Roses and Romance start spreading flowers, candy, and candles all over the cave, saying they will be "romantic" and create "romance" in the cave, the other dragons are just confused.
