Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It enjoys swimming in a nearby pond.

And look! Its fins and tail have gotten bigger, and you’ve moved it to a larger body of water to swim in. It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Susa loves flowers, which is a difficult love for a water dragon to have since most flowering plants live on land and not in water. She'll often wriggle out of the lake she lives in and onto land to get a closer look at the flowers near shore; sometimes, this habit of hers results in her getting stuck on land. Luckily she knows a few nearby terran dragons, and should she get stuck she'll call for them repeatedly until one of them hears her and rolls her back into the water to shut her up. Her name is based on of the black-eyed susan flower, one of her favorites.
