Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It’s very curious and fond of sweets.

And look! It has grown feathers! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

User Description

Whine, as he is called, is quite dissatisfied with his place in the clan. The number of Sweetlings joining the ranks multiplied one winter week, and the clan found itself overrun with the little pink creatures. The human coordinating their immigration was very busy and left many newcomers unnamed while she searched for room to house them all. So, Whine found himself frozen in eternal youth (at no loss to the bloodlines, considering his less than respectable lineage) and appointed Manager of Records. For a whole week, he juggled paperwork and lists; coded labels and pedigree notes. It was truly an awful job.

But that wasn't even the worst of it. The worst part was the NAMES. The human had some ridiculous idea in her head to name all the new Sweetlings in a very particular scheme. Once they were assigned such similar names, the dragons were getting mixed up with each other and there were a lot of mislabeled forms. Most are still confused.

Whine just wishes they would all shut up.
