Storm Dragons are the masters of the skies. They are excellent fliers and land only to rest and eat. In addition, they have full control of the weather. They are very hot-tempered and easily angered. They will attack any human that bothers them, conjuring strong winds and dangerous lightning.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Treserrik is one of two joint guardians, along with his mate, Amarmeiru. He protects a large town in the desert. He uses sandstorms to confuse enemies who attempt assaults, and maneuvers rain clouds to bring much needed water. In return, the people worship and revere him, bringing him many jewels from the desert caverns as well as offering a portion of their catches to him.

One day, a previously dormant volcano began to swell, threatening to engulf the town. Quickly, he sought as many storm clouds as he could, but he did not have the power alone to stop the eruption. Fortunately, a female Storm dragon who lived within the volcano prior to this event had an idea. If she were to use her lightning to scar and shatter the land around the volcano, he could use the winds to rapidly cool the flow. The plan worked, but left her without a home. Grateful and enamored, he suggested she coming to live with him. She accepted his offer, and the two have been inseparable ever since.
