Young dragons are relatively defenseless. Their scales don’t grow in until right before they mature, and they have almost no strength. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are usually left alone by their mother and begin to hunt and survive on their own.

Sakura has so many moods; it's almost impossible to classify her. One moment she can be a sweet and charming girl who likes hanging out with the other girls, the next fascinated with the art of war and bugging Teslian for lessons, the next after that hot-tempered and feisty with plans to become a ninja (despite the fact that dragons, being rather large creatures, are not well-suited to stealth). She claims that because of her name, people expect her to be many different things, and so she tries to oblige. Sometimes, she wishes she had a more common name, like Ai.
