Storm Dragons are the masters of the skies. They are excellent fliers and land only to rest and eat. In addition, they have full control of the weather. They are very hot-tempered and easily angered. They will attack any human that bothers them, conjuring strong winds and dangerous lightning.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Raiku storm is very popular among his peers (his human mother Kira, his mate Nightshade's Promise, and the other dragons raised by Kira). He is still quite young, and a bit reckless. Granted, he is very strong and smart, and has a little too much power over the skies. Whenever he is very pleased or happy, like when he is around Nightshade, sometimes bolts of lightning will hit nearby out of the blue. When he is really angry, the skies immediately turn black with thunder clouds and all hell seems to break out in the skies. Raiku doesn't like being on the ground too long. When he began killing meat for Nightshade, he would lay on his back, arms under his head, staring blankly at the skies like he was bored. He is deeply in love with Nightshade, and is always nearby, never letting her out of his sight. They recently had two black dragon eggs, and now have two sons.
