Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Vutha'aesthyr revels in the chase, the adrenaline and the physical skill of a hunt. She has great respect for her prey even as she tears at them with her talons and sharpened teeth, she admires the will to live within even the smallest animal and the cunning and guile that many creatures possess to escape her. Any person or animal that has earned much respect from Vutha'aesthyr is often released after being caught, allowed to live as she seeks a meal elsewhere after congratulating her prey, often rewarding them with an attractive stone or a treasure from her hoard. However, one display of bravery and good hunting will not prevent her from seeking out the same prey again another day...
