This is a baby chick, not a dragon. So what was it doing in the dragons’ cave?

She's fluffy, yellow, and a miniscule member of the Ninja Chicken Army. Mini Ninja Chicken was trained from a very young age to become a powerful warrior, so that she could make herself useful in the war against Space Chickens. Unfortunately, she was absolutely terrified of fighting these monstrous aliens and would hide herself in the tiniest corners to escape training, lest she'd complete her education and be sent into battle. Whether this was the cause of it is unknown, but she oddly stopped growing and stayed absolutely tiny. As a result, she is now exempt from active service (which made her very happy) but instead Shinobi Chicken has charged her with cleaning up the Ninja Chicken Headquarters. Cleaning up after several dozen hens is not a very nice activity; poor little thing...
