Magma Dragons are capable of withstanding the intense temperatures of their element. They live in volcanic regions, their bodies coated in the red hot magma which clings to their scales. They must leave the lava fields in order to hunt, although they require surprisingly little food to sustain their lumbering mass.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Obsidian Crown is the queen of her territory, ruling over it with a firm -- but never cruel -- claw. She is a strong in body and mind, but not overly stubborn; in fact, she prefers to be diplomatic when the situation allows for it. She is also a dragon of few words, and a great proponent of (as humans have put it) 'speaking softly and carrying a big stick'. The words she does use are meant to compromise, not to hide the power she could use to force her way if she wanted. Unnecessary or excessive violence grates on her nerves. While not a pacifist, she prefers peace and calm. It's simply never occurred to her that she might not have the right to rule the area as she does and enforce this calm.

The other Magma dragons living nearby or on her land find her royal air strangely humanlike, but they treat it as a harmless quirk. In fact, they mostly enjoy the peace, too, and they all get along quite well.
