Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It likes to chase fish in shallow water.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Misebirakasu just matured and grew those wings of his. He can't help but try to use them to impress the females of his kind, hatchling and adult alike. He uses that neck frill of his as well, bobbing his head up and down in a very showy fashion. It is his flying tricks that tend to get him in trouble though. He tries something too hard and crash lands, breaking a bone or two in the process. He has already broken both hind legs (at different times of course), as well as his right front leg and left fore paw. He has even broken a few bones in his wings once or twice thanks to the way he shows off for the ladies.

His name means 'Show off'.
