Gold dragons are the ones most often killed by humans, who consider their scales to be extremely valuable. These golden scales grant them a high level of protection, similar to armor, and they use this to their advantage in battle.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Khushrenada keeps his scales polished to a mirror sheen and moves with conscious grace. His personal cave is decorated with the treasures of faraway lands, and he loves to walk in the forests and gardens near his home. His focus on nobility and elegance in all things conceals his true ambition: domination of the SixStar caves and the dragons within. Their frequent squabbling disturbs him. Their lack of finesse irritates him. He's certain he could bring order and peace to the caves, if the other dragons would just follow him!

He considers his illustrious lineage to be proof of his right to lead, and his charisma is such that several of the other dragons give him their loyalty. Though his personal forces are small, he has an elaborate, far-reaching plan to bring all the rest under his golden claw.
