Albino Dragons are so named because their translucent, scale-less skin lacks all pigment. Instead, to help protect their bodies from the sun, they are coated in an oily secretion that blocks the sun’s harmful rays. The call of an albino dragon is similar to a barn owl--a shriek instead of a roar.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

This amiable, soft-spoken good ol' boy from the tiny Dragon Cave loves freshly charred meat, playing with discarded human tools, and higher education. His natural curiosity got him into plenty of trouble as a young hatchling, where he'd wander from the safety of the wilderness into human settlements. His main interest were the humans' tools, which fascinated him in their ability to construct things of greater power. Nowadays, he finds it safer to take things left behind by careless farmers and knights. Engineer's unusually high intelligence have earned him the title "Practical Problem Solver" of the cave, a note that is sometimes mocked by the other dragons. But Engineer does not mind; he is good natured and only quarrels if you cross him the wrong way. He is good friends with Mechanic, the Electric dragon.
