Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Winteral Holistar Moonwing is a distinguished dragon. He earned everyone's respect with his wonderful, colorful displays of magic. His magic is unrivaled throughout the caves that lchai's dragons live in- that is, unrivaled by everyone except for the resident Magi dragon Merridian. When Merridian shows off a feat of magic that he can't do, Winteral sulks in his cave.

Winteral is a rather proud dragon; he never droops his head. Unfortunately, he has a tragic past. Both of his parents were killed by an avalanche as they shielded a pile of abandoned, unguarded eggs. He stays away from the mountains now.

He loves eating freshly fallen snow sprinkled with fruits and juices. When one is looking for him, one should look for a patch of fresh snow, as he's sure to come by it.
