Black Tea Dragons have small scent glands on the underside of their wing arm that release a pleasant scent. Though many creatures enjoy being in the vicinity of Black Tea dragons, the scent is intended to draw in swarms of butterflies. Though Black Tea dragons are full sized dragons, these insects are the mainstay of their diet.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Tea n Crumpets has crowned himself "The King of Tea", as he claims he has the best scent out of all the Black Tea Dragons. Other dragons don't pay him as much attention as he would like, so he does quite a number of attention seeking stunts, with his biggest one so far being turning the water in the nearby lake into warm fragrant tea. Everyone who knows Tea n Crumpets calls him Crumpet when they talk to or about him, and he is usually the main topic of conversation where he lives. He also has two good friends whom he has known since they were hatchlings: an Electric Dragon called Speark and a Misfit Pygmy called Pigsy. Crumpet is usually seen getting into trouble with Pigsy, resulting in Speark coming to get them out of trouble every time. But overall, Crumpet is a fun dragon to be around, even if he does think he is the king of tea.
