Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It must be very shy since it keeps hiding from you.

It’s gotten slightly bigger! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Timid Tim, as one of the youngest and smallest of the Karev Entertainers, used to feel so ignored and left out that he even considered running away once, until that month's guest dragon showed him just how much he was valued.  As the child of the group, he often gets stuck singing hatchling songs, which still occasionally bothers him, though he's too polite to complain (much).  Kind and sweet, like his uncle Mivvit, Timid Tim has a knack for making friends, and is especially close friends with gentle giant Kurip (even though one very early play cast them as enemies).  Timid Tim is gradually getting more to do in the monthly variety shows, but must still be careful not to be accidentally stepped upon (or to, worse yet, end up in one of Pelsiprin's cooking skits).
