Terrae Dragons are primarily herbivores who prefer to eat from the tops of trees. However, due to their massive size, they must rely on small, specialized scales to absorb and convert energy from the sun. Since they live in tightly-knit groups, this form of energy absorption helps preserve the forests in which these dragons reside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Rhea of Earth loves life more than anything else. She loves it in all its forms and all the paths it can take; how it has created such beauty, and conversely, such sorrow. She has devoted herself to the life of the world, and travels constantly so as to see as much as possible and protect it when she can. She has traveled to dusky fens populated by hordes of shadowed pygmies, humid jungles echoing with birdcall and the flash of yellow stripes, grassy plains trampled upon by thunderous herds of horse dragons. She fights tyrants who seek to defile wilderness, and acts to preserve what she can. One dragon can only do so much, though, and at times she feels like she fights a losing battle, with the humans encroaching further and further into nature's realm.
