Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. You find it odd that the hatchling doesn’t move at all during the day, but at night its colors change and it is full of energy.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Tick, tick tick! There goes Ticking Time Clock again, always measuring time. He chooses to go around 'helping' other dragons by telling them if it's day or night, even though they can just go outside and see what time of day. He tends to be nosy at nighttime and randomly wakes dragons up to tell them what time of day it is. Of course, like any other hatchling he is oblivious to how other dragons feel about him. But, he has a bad habit of going, "Tick, tick, tick!"
