Striped Dragons come in a dazzling array of colors complemented by an intricate pattern of stripes. These bright colors and patterns help attract their favorite food, insects. Because their prey is so tiny, striped dragons must spend a large portion of their day eating. The color of the offspring is usually determined by the dragon’s mate.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Gehender spends his days on the seashore beneath the hills where his cavern is hidden. His father's love of the sea and his mother's tendency to wax philosophical molded him into a salty old soul when he was still a young hatchling; when the brood visited the beach, he was always first into the waves and last to leave them. Where the beach gives way to sheer cliffs, miles and miles away from the cave, Gehender may often be found hopping between rocks in the surf, his hind claws scrabbling for purchase even after years of practice. The younger dragons in the clan are flabbergasted by this feat—after all, from the shore, Gehender appears to be walking on water—but the sea-blue dragon insists that anyone can master the trick if only they try.
