Feisty and energetic, Whiptail Dragons pride themselves on their speed and agility. It is not unusual to see several whiptails racing each other. Though fragile, they can easily evade attacks with their superior speed, and often use their long tails as a weapon, giving rise to their name.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

The home of Giamerim is a rather dangerous one. He is a rather proud and slightly eccentric dragon. Though very quick, as typical of his breed, he tends to set up a very large number of traps around his home. These are not for catching intruders, though, but for "entertaining" himself and visitors. Spears, fire pits, falling boulders... All sorts of traps are prepped in a single path for any who wish to simply cross his threshold. The reason he does this is the belief that any being unfit to pass this gauntlet are not worthy of attention. He holds this rule to everyone, including himself. He adds more traps and trains his abilities to his limits daily, every morning. The faster the requirements to get through, the more he seems to enjoy it. It is rumored that there are priceless treasures in the heart, but no one has survived.

Recently, he has been keeping a watch on Kekatarrek. However, whether this is just fear of someone reaching his hoard or is in fact something more, no one knows.
