Daydream Dragons are the hosts of daydreams and fantasies. They spend the majority of their time sitting on clouds, dropping daydreams down into the minds of people passing by. Humans who live near Daydream Dragons must be especially careful not to let their thoughts wander, or they could end up spending hours or even days in a trance-like waking dream state.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Whispers of a Windy Willow is rarely around the roost. She spends most of her time, like others of the Daydreamer breed, near human popualtions where she showers them with fantasy and that metaphorical "break in the line" that derails chain of thought. The only problem with her jovial, happy-go-lucky personality is that she to is often daydreaming. As such, it's not uncommon for a human to be minding their own business, thinking about the lovely day, the song of birds in the trees, a stag that they want to chase, pinning it to the ground beneath their strong forelegs, easing it into death before they can eat the still warm meat... Then suddenly realize where their thoughts have actually gone. If some exceptionally sheepish humans are wandering about you can bet that Whispers of a Windy Willow has wandered through the area, leaving a merry wake of confused and distracted people.
