Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It’s very festively colored.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Everything on a Dorkwed is proud of his lineage, and will happily list of his famous kin—Penk, Banner of the Lady, King Louen Leoncoeur, Deoc and Nadkohkamo Thuwed, A Wish Under Moonlight, Aluriel Silvermoon, Gentle Rose, Heaven's Love, Midnight Waltz Elements, Chocolate Cordial Valentine, WindDasher and ChimeDancer Joyherald, Midas Dorkface and Shallynaar, and numerous black sweetlings to boot. Of course, he is much less proud of the inbreeding that has occurred between them and himself. Few other dragons actually care about any of it, and most are annoyed by Everything's fixation on his ancestry. In fact it is a great challenge to get him to talk about anything not related to ancestry or the holidays. Most dragons try to politely avoid Everything as much as possible. He does have a few friends among the pretty-lineaged dragons and Penkish Blue always stops to visit him on her migration to chat about the legendary Penk. Neither have met him personally however so they just speculate.
