Storm Dragons are the masters of the skies. They are excellent fliers and land only to rest and eat. In addition, they have full control of the weather. They are very hot-tempered and easily angered. They will attack any human that bothers them, conjuring strong winds and dangerous lightning.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Ruth is Clementine's leading meteorologist. Her knowledge of weather patterns and their effect on the ecosystem is second to none; she has even written a volume on the subject, which Mahlah the Scholar has had to copy multiple times since it is in such high demand.

Despite having the respect of nearly all of the island's dragon population, the arrival of Kaftan the Thunder dragon shook Ruth greatly. (She still views Kaftan with suspicion, though she recognizes it is likely to be purely neurotic.) All in all, managing the weather conditions over Clementine is a job she loves, so most of her time is spent either shaping the sky or overseeing her apprentices' training. She does have a mate, but she and Hezron are more akin to bunkmates, neither one feeling the need for the bleeding-heart type romance of so many couples. Besides, Ruth isn't particularly interested in children and families and building a household. She's fine as she is, falling asleep next to the dragon she trusts most.
