Skywing Dragons spend most of their lives flying in the air. They hunt from the air, diving at prey from above, and land only to rest. They are some of the fastest fliers, capable of extremely high speeds. The webbing at the end of the tail acts as a rudder, allowing them to easily change direction during flight.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Stojan is an introverted dragon, who avoids all intelligent creatures and spends his days soaring on the wind. Few have ever seen him below cloud level, perhaps due to his aversion to precipitation and shade. He abides upon a nearly airless mountain peak, where not even snow deigns to fall. Black rocks silhouette the glaring sun and deserted white-blue sky from his home, which doesn't even have a cave for shelter. Stojan spends so much time riding the winds that he is emaciated, and each wing is dried and brittle. Once a week, the ghostly dragon swoops down into the cloud layer to hunt the mountain sheep and caribou that dwell there, but then he is gone once again.

The human who raised him theorizes that some great trauma must have occurred to make Stojan act so anti-dragon, but is unsure what could have done so.
