Valentine eggs are only seen once a year. Adults’ mating seasons are very short, usually spanning a few weeks in the mid-to-late winter. These dragons were once reputed to be omens of good luck in love.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. One of the more flirtatious dragons in her clan, Stolen Kisses was given her name by an elder female of her clan who disapproved of her wanton ways. She never had a desire to settle down and burden herself with raising eggs, but that didn't stop her from seducing any willing male she could find.

Eventually her risky behavior caught up with her and she found herself with an egg to tend to. Unfortunately, that still didn't convince her to change her ways and her unlucky offspring was soon abandoned to fend for itself at a very young age.
