Copper Dragons are masters of stealth, slipping silently and swiftly through the forests and jungles where they live. Often hunting in groups, their prey rarely know they are being stalked until the dragon’s at their throat. In the air they are agile and skilled. Copper Dragons prize family groups, spending large amounts of time teaching their young skills. So great is their love of life and family that they will sometimes adopt orphaned dragons of other breeds to raise.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Affectionate, sweet, and fond of all things sugary, Mocha is many things--including an orphan. Raised by her brother Chocolate instead of her parents for unknown reasons, Mocha has never bothered looking too deeply into her past, simply assuming demons, witchcraft, and big hairy spiders were somehow involved and that her parents did their best to keep her all the same. Chocolate is supposedly too busy flirting with his harem to tell her either way (thus confirming her suspicions). While she'd like to take revenge and all, most of her time was spent dealing with a more pressing issue: her brother's wives. Despite his insisting that she's his sister, the others instead believe she's the child of a secret and more highly favored wife, leading them to harass and harry her no matter how angrily her brother defends her. While it never troubled her too much, it did incline her to leave the nest early, setting out at a young age in a cheery search for her one true love.
