Aww... It’s a cute baby drake. It seems to like you, although it is very hyperactive and difficult to train.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young drakes are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own.

Princess Bansi is a dragon-child of the Pseudo-Royal Hall, a clan of superb wannabes. Bansi is one of a gaggle of frozen hatchlings residing in the Hall, watched over in their rough-and-tumble pursuits by forever patient Queen Varda, stoic King Duarte, and comical King Lucio. Like most Ochredrakes, she is an avid whistler. However, unlike most Ochredrakes, she is not very good at it. Peeping and tooting up a storm, Bansi has unwittingly become the source of many migraines, and become the most avoided hatchling in the Hall.
