Storm Dragons are the masters of the skies. They are excellent fliers and land only to rest and eat. In addition, they have full control of the weather. They are very hot-tempered and easily angered. They will attack any human that bothers them, conjuring strong winds and dangerous lightning.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Agot Brid is an existentialist. She believes that one must always be alert and active, or else fade into apathy and uselessness. In her doctrine, a person must keep themselves in the world, or else they may forget the sentience of all other beings. This is especially important to dragons, who might shrink into their own minds and ignore the thoughts of others, due to the constant mind-babble of other creatures. It takes a very calm dragon to extend their thoughts into the rest of the world and not suddenly jerk back. Agot doesn't have this calm, but she does keep active to avert any self-importance. Her life is a kind of hedonism; she enjoys simple pleasures like hunting, eating, flying, and mating with various males.<br/>Agot eats meat and plants found in the lush island upon which she lives, where she can fly out to hurricanes and storms and revel in them. She keeps the weather from devastating the island, so that her cave will be unharmed and the prey survive.
