Dragons are creatures with nearly unlimited life spans. They can survive for long periods of time, and no one has found a dragon that has died of old age. Adolescence is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Once they hit adolescence, hatchlings change quickly, maturing to their full forms in only 2 years.
Dragons don’t communicate with each other verbally, but they will growl to scare off predators and frighten prey. Young dragons will emit an extremely high-pitched squeal when they are frightened. To communicate, they use telepathy with each other and to speak to other creatures.
It was previously believed that purple dragons were exclusively female, but this is not the case. Recent environmental shifts have revealed the existence of both genders of this breed. Female behavior is well known; they are primarily herbivores but will eat meat during mating season. On the other hand, very little is known about the behavior and habits of male purple dragons.
Punupa may one of the most organized Purple dragon there is. She wakes up every morning and sings, beautifully. She sings all the most amazing songs she has ever heard. Then she goes swimming and plays with Jadew and Manekko, if he surfaces. They are her best friends, and Bongard teaches her to fly like a pro, she is not doing very well but she is still learning. After her mid-day nap, she goes walking with Abanea and her son Enoge in the woods and talk. Punupa has a very busy schedule and many friends but she has a good life and is always happy. She never has a bad day and everyone is her best friend.
