White Dragons are pacifists and specialize in extremely strong healing magic. The only limit of this magic is that it can’t bring back the dead. They only eat plants and never kill living things.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Jadzia is the most interesting mixture of tough-as-nails tomboy and flirty, puckish girl. She is everything she wants to be, which makes her a fully mature dragoness in the best sense of the word.

She is a competent enough healer and has almost as much social competence as her daughter, and before Pax's maturation she was a worthy leader of the healing caves. But she is far happier now: just doing her job, letting Pax do the leading and having time in the evenings for a rich private life.
