Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Sasad is a dragon with her past behind her. She was a great leader, leading the black dragon armies to war. She practices magic frequently, being careful not to practice dark magic. She was due to become queen of a small city when she was challenged by another black dragon wanting power. The fight was quick, and Sasad lost. Full of anger and frustration, she began practicing dark magic. Before she could stop, she was absorbed and wanted never to stop. The other dragons discovered this, and she was banished from the city. Now Sasad has become very powerful, destroying all who defy her. Now she knows there's a dragon hunting her, trying to kill her.
