Sunset Dragons are closely related to sunrise dragons. However, their behaviors differ greatly. Sunset Dragons generally live alone or in small packs. They are more active in the evening, hunting and performing all of their daily tasks as the sun sets.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Loscura is a proud, fierce dragon. He is extremely fond of Raikumi and Latani in his little close-knit family of dragons, and will come to their aid if they need him. No one insults his pride and escapes unscathed. Loscura's name is a twist on the Spanish word, "oscura", which translates into "dark", suiting his species perfectly. Loscura is often called lazy by the other dragons when he sleeps through the day, but he simply ignores their taunts and gets revenge by pranking them in the evening. Loscura isn't particularly fond of hatchlings and eggs, but is often stuck somehow watching them during the day while the others are away.
