Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

The descendant of Starless Night and Candlelight. His mother has never paid much attention in him. Most think it is because she expected him to be purple, not black. The instant he hatched, she paid less and less attention in him. He fell in love with a water dragon named Watery Moon, but the owner of the scroll abandoned the hatchling that hatched when the two bred. Cold Night is a great fighter. Starless Night doesn't pay much attention in that. Cold Night is very independent, and only hunts for himself. Most find this selfish, but others think it is because he wants to show he can take care of himself.
