Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Pride of the Golden, is, as his name suggests, ridiculously proud of his shimmering gold scales. He insisted that his name contained "gold"- someone once thought he was a Bronze Tinsel (oh, the thought of it!), and he refused to show on the scroll for weeks afterward, sulking. He will not go anywhere near the other Tinsels- "They are not worthy of my presence!" he claims. But despite being supposedly much better than the other Tinsels, he is nowhere near as happy as them in his self-directed social isolation.
