Albino Dragons are so named because their translucent, scale-less skin lacks all pigment. Instead, to help protect their bodies from the sun, they are coated in an oily secretion that blocks the sun’s harmful rays. The call of an albino dragon is similar to a barn owl--a shriek instead of a roar.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

As a child of two albino dragons with very different waking hours, Novis Draconis lived during the second half of the day and the first half of the night as a hatchling. After all, he wanted to spend time with his dad and his mom equally. He kept this habit into his adult days, too used to the strange lifestyle to actually want to change it.

Thus it is no wonder that he is falling for the sunset dragon Silvana Sunset. Having a very poetic side, he writes her poems and love songs, which he performs to her while she wakes up. As soon as she is awake, however, he hides as fast as he can. Embarrassed by his own cowardice, he watches his love from far away, hoping that one day he will find the courage to tell her his feelings.
