Paper Dragons are not truly living creatures. They are pieces of parchment enchanted by magic, and as such, are very vulnerable to fire. However, they behave almost like dragons. The only place where their behavior differs is breeding: paper dragons cannot breed.

Rilja is an elder of the horde, and rightfully one too. She is the only Paper that the horde has that has a gender, and she is quite proud of it. Rilja is defiant, upstanding, fiery, and hard to keep down, especially when under stress. She's a fierce advocate for the underdog and will always fight to bring justice to wherever its needed, and has been called a paper Guardian quite a few times. There's actually been speculation as to whether or not she really was a Guardian at some point, but this is all tall tales. Rilja takes care of Letter, the little frozen Paper hatchling, quite fiercely, and will not tolerate anybody making fun on 'him' simply for his lack of gender. Big Green Something and Brutus Dinossus both get along quite well with Rilja and Letter, especially considering that apparently none of them are supposed to have genders. (Even though Brutus and Green don't.)
