White Dragons are pacifists and specialize in extremely strong healing magic. The only limit of this magic is that it can’t bring back the dead. They only eat plants and never kill living things.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

The gloomy Jonah Futterwacken proved remarkably adept at mixing healing potions at a young age, and was named the clan's chief apothecary almost as soon as he matured. He was assigned the irresponsible Prince Rioting Tinselkin as an assistant, and though the fun-loving drake is passably good at his work, Jonah often despairs over the havoc Prince so often wreaks upon his laboratory. Though he performs a much-needed service for his clan, and does his work exceedingly well, the apothecary seems to consider himself a blight upon society and a bad-luck charm. One of the few drgaons able to brighten his mood is his fellow healer Leia Futterwacken, and he looks forward to the days when she comes to browse through his pharmacopoeia.
