Daydream Dragons are the hosts of daydreams and fantasies. They spend the majority of their time sitting on clouds, dropping daydreams down into the minds of people passing by. Humans who live near Daydream Dragons must be especially careful not to let their thoughts wander, or they could end up spending hours or even days in a trance-like waking dream state.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Once, when she was awake, Hegra delighted in giving sweet dreams to the landbound creatures that passed beneath her cloud. Once, she directed her cloud above those in greatest need of cheer. No longer; now she sleeps on her clouds and wanders aimlessly through the caves of Malfeas. Now she torments anyone unfortunate to cross under her shifting storm with fevered imaginings, twisted dreams, and paranoid fantasies. The leading edge of Hegra's clouds is a wispy twist of steam, and the dragon herself is invisible above the body of the squall but for the tip of her dangling tail.

It's said that a brave soul may steal a scale from Hegra's tail, thus gaining protection from her projected nightmares, but few have ever tried to verify the legend.
