Green Dragons are also sometimes called “earth” dragons. They usually live deep within caves, and have power over the earth. They are capable of launching boulders at high speeds, and can cause earthquakes by slamming down onto the ground.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Shadowgate, one of the dragons living in the Wizado Caverns, has an unusual back story. It took a very long time for his parents to finally have the green-scaled child they wanted, and when they did, they celebrated. However, when introduced to the equally long-awaited Ember child of another couple that was arranged to be his mate, they at first hated each other. But neither wanted to let their parents down, so they forced themselves to stay together for a time, and ended up falling in love.
