Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

This dragon is an activist for tree rights. He claims that certain trees are not just intelligent but sapient, deserving of names and owning personalities as much as any dragon, chicken, drake and dino does. He spends most of his time with a tree he calls 'Dendricule', watering it, playing chess against it (usually losing), and talking with it. He insists that the tree likes chess, water polo, karaoke and fiction novels.

The majority of other dragons think he is out of his mind, but some others claim to have heard the tree telepathically talking. Those who don't believe that a tree can talk call the dragon Dendricule, though those who believe it can call the dragon 'Rogas'. Those who refrain from comment just call him 'the shiny guy with the tree', if they discuss him at all.
