The egg faded away completely; in its place there’s a cute baby dragon. It doesn’t seem to have much substance, though.
And look! It’s grown its wings! It must be close to maturing.
Young dragons are relatively defenseless. Their scales don’t grow in until right before they mature, and they have almost no strength. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are usually left alone by their mother and begin to hunt and survive on their own.
Most dragons ignore this little dragon as he has a very obnoxious little obsession. He hides away in the shadows until another dragon wanders near. Then he will jump from his concealment shouting, "Boo!" at the unsuspecting dragon. Because of this, everyone calls him Boo. In the beginning, all the dragons would jump in fright, but now they all give him a glance and simply shake their head. Despite the lack of response from the other dragons, he still continues his little game day in and day out.
