Stone Dragons have a tough outer covering made of a stone-like material. They eat rocks, using the minerals they contain for nourishment and to keep up their stone outer shell. They rarely move, and are the heaviest of all types of dragons. Although they have wings, indicating flight ability, no one has ever seen a stone dragon flying.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Ishi Hoshi, 'Stone Star' is leader of Granite Clan, a tribe of rock dragons. Usually, she and the rest of her Clan have little to do with the other Clans, except for during 'Mikadzuki Mi-to', or the New Moon Meets. Each new moon, the leaders of the various Clans and some of their dragons meet in a large, grassy clearing near a large body of water. Here, they talk with friends from other Clans and discuss news of Clan life. (All in their minds, of course.) Being a rock dragon, Ishi usually doesn't have much to say, but when she does speak, the other dragons listen, because she usually has great insight. She has a calm, level personality, and it takes a great deal to anger her; but when she reaches the breaking point, her retaliation is sudden, explosive, and over in a single instant, but she makes a lasting impression.
