Script Dragons are named for the markings along their wings and sides that look almost like calligraphy. The patterns correspond to no known language, and are slightly different on every dragon. These dragons only develop the characteristic markings when they reach maturity, and they are fairly capable with magic once the patterns appear.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

This dragon loves music. He particularly likes the kind of songs that are meant to be sung by multiple singers, with each singer starting from the beginning after the previous singer finishes the first line and continues on to the next. He enjoys the overlaid harmonies that result as well as the fade in—fade out effect on the overall song.

The markings on his side resemble musical notes that repeat in an overlapping design.
