Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Platinum Laurel has a great talent for coordinating different colors and textures. So much so, he has self-appointed himself as the chief co-director of celebrations, a position he shares with his closest compatriots, Bronze Laurel and Gold Laurel. Whenever a holiday comes to the island home of Shield Tail and Dark Drakon's dragon herd, no matter if it's Halloween, Christmas or St. Valentine's Day, these three dragons go out of their way to ensure that the island is properly decorated to reflect the holiday that is being celebrated, making sure to pull out all the stops.
