Speckle-Throated Dragons are an active, playful breed. They are easily excited and rarely remain still, spending much of their time in the air. Living in groups of up to sixty dragons, they nest in open plains and at the bases of mountains. Their speckled throats are their most distinctive feature, as well as the loud, echoing call they produce to communicate with one another. Female Speckle-Throats are slightly smaller than males and lack a head crest. However, they are swifter and more agile and prefer to hunt in small groups in order to take down prey.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Fluttersong belongs to a herd of speckle-throats that live in an open meadow full of wildflowers and dandelions. Her species' kind and carefree nature means they can live freely in the open without fear of attack, as they are greatly trusted by the humans and have therefore gained their protection.

She also shares the meadow with the thousands of bees which visit each day to gather nectar. In the Autumn, the bees donate surplus honey—a sugary treat enjoyed by most of her kind.

During the day, Fluttersong likes to play and chase the other young dragons, soaring tirelessly above the meadow. Due to their flying abilities and need to be constantly entertained, Fluttersong and many of her herd enjoy helping the neighbouring town carry out errands as a sort of dragon postal and transport service. Sometimes, during brief moments Fluttersong has all four paws on the ground, the town's children will sit with her and make daisy-chains to place around her neck.
